As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a vital role in assisting the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of the pub’s operations. You will lead and inspire a team of dedicated staff, ensuring that our guests receive top-notch service and an unforgettable dining experience. Your responsibilities will include managing daily operations, maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness, and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in day-to-day operations, including staff management, customer service, and financial performance.
- Lead and motivate the team, setting high standards for service, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Provide excellent customer service, engaging with guests and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain quality standards, overseeing food and beverage preparation, presentation, and service.
- Implement and maintain efficient operating procedures, including inventory management, ordering, and stock control.
- Assist in staff recruitment, training, and development.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably within a gastro pub or high-end restaurant.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Strong customer service orientation and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
- Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu development and wine pairing.
- Proven ability to manage financial aspects of the business, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation.
