We’re looking for a confident, hands-on Kitchen Manager to run a busy, well-regarded school kitchen in West London. This is a role for someone who enjoys cooking with fresh ingredients, leading a small team, and taking pride in feeding young people well, without the late nights or weekend shifts.
You’ll be fully in charge of the day-to-day kitchen operation, from menu planning and food quality to team leadership and compliance. It’s structured, fast-paced during service, and genuinely rewarding.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading and motivating the kitchen team day to day
- Delivering fresh, nutritious meals to a consistently high standard
- Planning menus that meet nutritional guidelines and budgets
- Managing stock, ordering, and food costs
- Making sure food safety, allergens, and H&S are always spot on
- Keeping the kitchen organised, clean, and running smoothly
- Building good relationships with school staff and pupils
What we’re looking for
- Experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or in a similar leadership role
- Someone organised, calm under pressure, and good with people
- A genuine interest in fresh food and education catering
- Strong knowledge of food safety, allergens, and compliance
