We are on the lookout for a Deputy Head Chef to work in a high end Bistro & Bar. This is an excellent opportunity, as the successful candidate will be taking over the Head Chef position in August when their current Head Chef leaves.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards, food safety regulations, and efficient workflow.
- Collaborating with the Head Chef in developing innovative menus that showcase creativity and expertise while considering seasonal availability and customer preferences.
- Leading by example and inspiring the kitchen team to consistently deliver dishes of exceptional taste, presentation, and consistency.
- Ensuring proper food preparation techniques are followed at all times, maintaining high levels of cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in accordance with industry best practices.
- Managing inventory levels effectively by monitoring stock rotation, minimizing waste, and placing timely orders for fresh ingredients.
- Training and mentoring junior chefs to develop their culinary skills and maintain a high-performing team.
- Collaborating with other departments such as front-of-house staff to ensure seamless coordination during service hours.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, techniques, ingredients, and new cooking methods.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience working in a high-end or Michelin-starred restaurant environment as a Sous Chef or similar role.
- A passion for culinary excellence demonstrated through creativity in menu development and dedication to using top-quality ingredients.
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and international cuisines.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving common goals.
- Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail in order to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure effective coordination and collaboration with team members and other departments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and delivering exceptional results.
