About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced and highly organised Events Operations Manager to join there team at a busy, large-scale venue. This is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring the smooth planning and delivery of a wide range of events, from corporate functions and conferences to large-scale live productions.
You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to deliver exceptional events while maintaining the highest standards of safety, organisation, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operational planning and delivery of events from concept through to execution and breakdown
- Develop and manage detailed event plans, schedules, and operational timelines
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations
- Coordinate with production teams on staging, lighting, sound, and technical requirements
- Manage relationships with external suppliers including production, catering, security, and logistics
- Oversee event-day operations to ensure seamless delivery and high service standards
- Work collaboratively with sales and event planning teams to translate client briefs into operational plans
- Ensure all operational documentation, including method statements and risk assessments, are completed and maintained
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and event delivery
Requirements
- Proven experience working in events operations within a large-scale venue or event space
- Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and event risk assessments
- Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Solid production knowledge, including technical event requirements
- Experience managing suppliers and coordinating multiple external partners
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required
