My client, has been a beloved fixture in Hackney for many years. Their commitment to quality, tradition and innovation has made them into a local favourite. As the Head Baker, you will play a pivotal role in the bakery’s continued success by overseeing the daily production of a wide range of baked goods.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Executive chef to create and execute innovative and modern viennoiserie pastries and breads.
• Train & develop bakery team to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.
• Oversee day to day running of bakery to maintain high standards set in place.
• Assist in stock management and ordering of ingredients to maintain bakery stock levels.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
• Uphold the bakery’s commitment to excellence in customer service and satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Head Baker or a similar role in a bakery environment.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, viennoiserie and sourdough breadmaking.
• Creativity and innovation in developing new recipes.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Flexibility with work hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Passionate about high end Viennoiserie and baked goods.
