We are urgently seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead one of London’s newest and most exciting openings. A Mediterranean restaurant offering seating, a terrace, a lounge, and private dining. Looking for their Head Chef to come in and take control.
The ideal candidate should have a strong culinary background and experience in managing a high-volume.
Responsibilities:
- Creating and implementing menus that are both innovative and true to our restaurant’s concept
- Overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Managing kitchen staff and ensuring that all members of the team are trained to maintain the highest standards of quality and efficiency
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that food costs are kept within budget
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Developing and maintaining relationships with local suppliers to ensure that the restaurant has access to the finest ingredients available
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and incorporating new techniques and ingredients into the restaurant’s menu and offerings
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in a high volume kitchen as Head Chef, ideally within a Mediterranean background
- Proven track record of success in managing a high-end kitchen and developing innovative menus
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Passion for cooking and a deep understanding of culinary techniques and ingredients
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and excellence
