Change Hospitality is partnering with an exciting, established restaurant group to recruit an experienced Head Chef / Kitchen Manager for one of its flagship high-volume sites in Brixton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, commercially minded kitchen leader who thrives in a fast-paced branded environment. You’ll be responsible for leading a high-performing team, maintaining exceptional food standards, driving kitchen performance, and creating a positive, motivated culture.

The Role

As Head Chef / Kitchen Manager, you will take full ownership of the kitchen operation, ensuring outstanding execution while delivering against financial and operational KPIs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, developing and inspiring a large kitchen team.
• Delivering consistently high-quality food in a high-volume service environment.
• Managing labour, stock, GP and kitchen costs to budget.
• Recruiting, training and retaining a strong brigade.
• Ensuring all food safety, HACCP and health & safety standards are met.
• Working closely with the General Manager to drive site performance.
• Maintaining excellent kitchen organisation and service standards during busy periods.
• Building a positive team culture with a focus on coaching and development.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager within a branded, high-volume restaurant.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• A solid understanding of stock control, labour management and kitchen financials.
• A calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure.
• A genuine passion for delivering consistently great food and service.
• High standards and attention to detail.
