We’re looking for a talented Sales & Event Manager to deliver and execute our sales strategy in collaboration with the Head of and Senior Sales and Sales and Events Manager.
We’re looking for a talented Sales & Event Manager to deliver and execute our sales strategy in collaboration with the Head of and Senior Sales and Sales and Events Manager.
- Successfully delivering the sales strategies with the support of the sales team including: diary management, identifying new events, opportunities, and markets, data recording, business development and proactive sales, relationship management and marketing initiatives
- Ensuring all sales targets are achieved and KPIs
- Confidently negotiate contracts
- Carrying out site visits with clients at every opportunity, accurately explaining the spaces and options for various events, including our suppliers.
- Ensuring marketing strategies are delivered
- Ensuring you act as brand ambassador
- Attending networking events, exhibitions and other promotional activities as and when required to actively promote the venue.
- Raising event invoices when required, pre and post event, including chasing late invoices/debt management.
- Providing reports to the line manager when required.
- Leading on all logistical planning on allocated events to ensure successful delivery.
- Leading on all administrative tasks prior to each event and collecting / collating relevant paperwork and information to distribute to all relevant parties in good time.
- Understanding the clients and their suppliers Risk Assessments,
- Attending site visits pre-contract where necessary.
- Delivering the highest level of customer service and being the main onsite contact to manage the running of allocated events.
The Candidate:
- At least 2-3 years of experience working within an event venue sales team or similar.
- Can demonstrate commerciality through experience of selling profitably, sales negotiations, maximising sales, achieving targets and writing sales strategies.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the local venue market and key venue finding agents.
- Ability to work with clients on all levels and with all areas of the business.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple venue projects simultaneously through effective prioritisation and multi-tasking.
- Exceptional commercial acumen demonstrated through the alignment of business mission, strategies and objectives.
