Sales and Events Planner
East London Venue
£30-35k plus bonus – depending on experience
I am looking for a sales and event planning superstar for an East London venue who hosts a mix of events including private events, weddings, corporate events, brand events and lots of filming and photo shoots.
·To manage and convert venue enquiries and sales opportunities
·To maximise all revenue opportunities
·To co-ordinate commercial and internal events within the venue.
·To have an understanding of the venue sales targets and to work towards all sales strategies.
·To meet with prospective clients and show them round the venue facilities.
·To assist and help build the venue proactive strategies, venue representations, entertainment and promotional activities.
·Follow-up sales leads, support in the creation of sales appointments, FAM events, exhibitions and group activity – on/off site.
·To assist with function sheets requirements including audio visual equipment, flowers, linen and entertainment, catering and obtain quotations to send to clients for confirmation.
·To quote and negotiate with suppliers for audio visual, flowers, linen and entertainment
·To greet clients on arrival making sure that the event is as they require, and ensuring that any on the day changes are passed on where necessary, to the operational team.
·To liaise with the client about their event including up selling and special requirement checks.
·To actively chase outstanding deposits
·To ensure all statutory health and safety and fire regulations are undertaken as requested by The Venue
This role is a sales and planning role and you are not expected to be on site for the whole event just a few hours at the beginning to greet the client.
