In this role, you will be responsible for the entire sales process, from new lead generation to post-event follow-up. Delivering revenue growth, implementing effective sales strategies, promotional campaigns and lead-generation activities to drive and exceed sales targets.
You will identify new market opportunities and revenue streams, including corporate events, weddings, private parties, and social gatherings.
You will have responsibility for analysing market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback reporting to the GM and Board and making recommendations for new initiatives and change.
Leading and overseeing on the day operational delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Set clear sales targets for the team and provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Foster a collaborative team environment focused on achieving results and providing exceptional customer service.
- Organise and lead regular team meetings to review sales performance, discuss challenges, improvements and share success stories.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with all clients.
- You will utilise your understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and what’s currently trending to lead the strategy for the functions’ marketing and social media presence – Internally and through external platforms/ contacts.
- Responsible for content of 3rd party and own brand websites.
- Gather and analyse customer feedback and event trends to identify areas for service improvement and new offerings.
- Build and maintain an extensive network of industry contacts, including event planners, local businesses, and vendors.
- Provide regular sales reports to the GM and board, including sales figures, revenue forecasts, and performance analysis.
- Identify opportunities for improving sales efficiency, lead conversion, and overall sales performance.
- Forecast monthly and annual sales and adjust strategies to meet changing business conditions.
- Work closely with the events and operations teams to ensure seamless coordination of client requirements and event execution. This will include on the day oversight
- Ensure that the sales team is fully informed of all client preferences and event specifications to guarantee a successful event.
Key Skills
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Sales & Events management, in the hospitality industry.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading and motivating a sales team and fostering a collaborative, results-driven culture.
