A Sous Chef is required for very well-known and highly respected party design and event catering company based in SW London. The company prides itself on its creative, highly personal approach and superb, restaurant quality food.
The ideal candidate will be not only a superbly gifted chef but also highly organised and creative. They will need to have strong leadership/management abilities and will need to be able to fill the role of Head Chef on events. The candidate will not only need to be a strong team worker but also to demonstrate the ability to manage their time independently and to oversee the work of their team as required. The Sous Chef will work very closely with the Executive Head Chef, and other Sous Chefs and a good working relationship will be essential.
The right candidate will be creative, inventive and willing to push boundaries with new cooking techniques and skills. They will need to be able to develop the respect of the other members of the team as a result of good working practices, diligence and strong people skills. Reliability, flexibility with hours, a hard working attitude and proactivity are all key characteristics for candidates in this role.

Hours: Monday to Friday 08.30-17.00, with evenings and weekends when required, which are paid as overtime.
Starting Salary: £38,000 – £40,000 per annum plus overtime. (The candidate will earn approximately an extra 30% of their salary in overtime)
There is a Company bonus scheme and a pension contribution is offered.
Package: 20 days holiday for the first two years, and then one day for every year worked up to a maximum of 25 days. (There is often extra holiday time given during the Christmas holidays as a gift)
