An exciting new restaurant opening in the heart of London, is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join their dynamic culinary team. As Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu development, recipe creation, and the implementation of new culinary concepts
  • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, plating, and service
  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for necessary supplies and ingredients
  • Train, supervise, and mentor the kitchen brigade, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Maintain strict adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of kitchen processes and procedures
  • Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen budget and controlling food costs

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-quality restaurant
  • Formal culinary training or a recognised qualification in Culinary Arts
  • Extensive knowledge of international cuisine, food trends, and culinary techniques
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Passion for creating innovative and visually appealing dishes
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
