Vibrant, fast-paced family run Café / Ice cream Parlour located in the heart of Clapham Old Town, known for exceptional quality, family friendly atmosphere, and outstanding customer service are seeking a passionate and experienced Front of House Supervisor to join the team

As the Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of front-of-house. Your primary focus will be to ensure our guests receive an exceptional service from the moment they walk through the doors. You will lead by example, providing excellent customer service, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

About the job:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the front-of-house staff to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
• Provide excellent customer service and address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Train, mentor, and motivate front-of-house staff to deliver outstanding service and maintain a positive work environment.
• Ensure the restaurant is clean, organised, and presentable at all times.
• Assist in managing reservations, seating arrangements, and optimizing table turnover.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering as needed.
• Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate financial procedures.
• Assist in developing and implementing front-of-house policies and procedures.
• Maintain a strong presence on the floor during peak service times to support the team and engage with guests.

About you:

• Proven experience as a Supervisor or similar role in a fast-paced environment. (Pret or Costa style operations would be an advantage)
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for hospitality.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.
• Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends, and holidays.
