Join a dynamic finance team for a fantastic London Bar Group as a Management Accountant, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and compliance of our accounts department. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you’ll help drive improvements in systems and processes, manage day-to-day financial operations, and support the development of junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Financial Controller to ensure the accounts department runs efficiently and meets all compliance requirements
- Supervise and support the Accounts Assistant, promoting their development in partnership with the Financial Controller and Head of Learning & Development
- Ensure all daily, weekly, and periodic financial reporting is accurate and up to date
- Review and enhance departmental systems and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting and compliance with all financial regulations
Core Duties Include:
- Record daily revenue transactions and maintain financial spreadsheets
- Verify and reconcile supplier, customer, and general ledger entries in Xero
- Investigate and resolve sales variances between reported and actual income
- Reconcile supplier statements with Xero records
- Prepare weekly payment runs for review
- Enter financial data, maintain records, and generate financial statements
- Produce weekly flash P&L reports with commentary
- Prepare monthly payroll for review
- Track weekly stock , investigate variances, and liaise with relevant staff
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely payroll processing
- Perform various ad hoc financial duties
- Assist with general office management tasks (ordering supplies, liaising with third-party vendors, maintaining office organisation)
