The role would suit an experienced senior operator with a strong background in event catering or hospitality who combines strategic oversight with a hands-on leadership approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of events across multiple venues and client sites
• Lead, manage and develop Event Managers, coordinators and freelance event teams
• Implement and refine operational systems, SOPs and service standards
• Manage staffing schedules, resource allocation and operational planning across events
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety and licensing regulations
• Conduct site visits and oversee operational readiness across venues and launches
• Act as senior escalation point for complex or high-profile events
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, venue partners and suppliers
• Collaborate closely with sales, logistics, kitchen and operations teams
• Support budgeting, forecasting and overall financial performance of the events division
• Drive continuous improvement across service delivery, staffing models and operational efficiency

About You

• Proven experience within a senior event operations role in catering, hospitality or venues
• Strong leadership experience managing operational and event teams
• Excellent organisational and logistical planning skills
• Confident communicator with strong client-facing ability
• Commercially aware with experience supporting budgets and operational performance
• Calm, proactive and solutions-focused under pressure
• Strong understanding of event logistics, staffing and compliance
