My client is a premium events and catering business delivering exceptional experiences across the hospitality sector. They are now seeking a Finance & Office Administrator to support the finance function and wider business operations.
This is a varied, hands-on role offering exposure across finance, administration and office management. Working closely with the Head of Finance and senior leadership team, you will play a key role in maintaining the smooth running of the business while supporting the continued development of systems and processes.
The role would suit someone early in their finance career who enjoys working across multiple areas of the business and has a genuine interest in technology, systems and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise and issue sales invoices, monitoring payments and debtor balances
- Process supplier invoices and maintain the purchase ledger
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
- Carry out regular bank reconciliations and investigate variances
- Process employee expenses and maintain financial records
- Support purchase order management and approval processes
- Assist with month-end activities including accruals, prepayments and reporting
- Support budget tracking across events and projects
- Act as a first point of contact for finance queries from suppliers and colleagues
- Support year-end preparation and external accountant liaison
- Maintain office documentation, databases and shared drives
- Coordinate diaries, meetings and team administration
- Support onboarding processes and office administration tasks
- Assist sales and operations teams with administrative support ahead of events
- Help maintain compliance records and internal documentation
About You
- Previous experience within finance, accounts or bookkeeping, including internships or placements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident using Excel or Google Sheets
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills
- Strong communication skills with a professional approach
- Comfortable learning new systems and technology
- Interested in finance automation, cloud accounting and process improvement
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Desirable
- Experience with Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
- Studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA qualifications
- Previous exposure to hospitality, events or creative industries
- Knowledge of AI tools or finance automation platforms
