Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Event Manager to oversee the planning and delivery of a series of large-scale sporting events. This is a high-profile opportunity to take responsibility for every element of food and beverage operations, from VIP areas and press spaces through to restaurants and retail catering.

This is a multimillion-pound contract, suited to a strategic leader with proven expertise in project management, client management and budget control.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of major events from planning through to live delivery
• Act as the main liaison for client stakeholders across all events
• Manage and inspire a direct team of two, plus wider operational, culinary, logistics and commercial teams
• Oversee the development and delivery of food and beverage strategy, working with partners and suppliers
• Ensure operational excellence across hospitality, public catering and workforce services
• Take full ownership of budgets, including forecasting, cost control and financial reporting
• Deliver accurate project planning, communication and reporting to all stakeholders
• Be onsite throughout the events, leading operations and stepping in where needed
• Drive innovation and creativity in food and service while maintaining brand standards

Ideal Candidate

• Strong background in event catering or food and beverage operations, ideally with sporting or large-scale event experience
• Proven track record in managing complex, high-value projects with multiple stakeholders
• Excellent budget management skills, confident in handling multimillion-pound contracts
• Experience in high-end catering or hospitality environments is highly desirable
• A natural leader who thrives under pressure, motivates teams and sets high standards
• Strong communicator, strategic thinker and highly organised project manager
• Willingness to travel and commit fully during peak delivery periods

The Offer

• Competitive salary of £50,000 to £65,000 DOE
• 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays
• Hybrid working with 1 to 2 days from home per week available subject to business needs
