We’re looking for an experienced, organised, and proactive Senior Event Operations Manager to a growing Events team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, premium events environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences.
Working closely with the Sales and Events teams, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering a wide range of high-end events. You’ll play a key role in ensuring every event runs seamlessly, leading operational teams on-site while maintaining the highest standards of service, health and safety, and venue compliance.
- Lead the operational planning and delivery of events from initial planning through to execution.
- Work closely with the Sales Team to ensure seamless event planning and communication.
- Manage both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) operations to deliver exceptional service standards.
- Order and manage hired equipment, ensuring effective stock control and minimising breakages.
- Lead, brief, and manage Front of House teams of varying sizes on event days.
- Attend client meetings, venue site visits, and tastings to identify operational requirements and contribute to successful event planning.
- Oversee event service, including managing dinner service for events of up to 500+ guests.
- Prepare and oversee event-specific Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Health & Safety documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partner venues, ensuring compliance with venue regulations.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key clients, acting as their primary operational contact where appropriate.
- Collaborate with internal departments to improve efficiency and support the successful delivery of events.
- Support the allocation of event managers based on operational requirements and budgets.
- Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, and training of Front of House staff.
- Contribute to operational improvement projects across staffing, equipment, and beverage operations.
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
- Proven experience managing operations within the events, hospitality, or catering industry.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Experience leading large operational teams in a busy events environment.
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build lasting professional relationships.
- Confidence managing multiple events and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- A solid understanding of Health & Safety requirements and event compliance.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
