About the job:
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu development, recipe creation, and food cost management.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimise waste and optimise profitability.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Demonstrate creativity and innovation in culinary techniques and presentation.
About you:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume, quality-driven restaurant environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Thorough knowledge of cookery techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
