We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sommelier to join the team at a beautiful Mediterranean restaurant located in heart of Central London. This is an exceptional opportunity for a wine enthusiast with solid depth of knowledge and a knack for customer engagement to contribute to an authentic dining experience inspired by the whole of the Mediterranean.

About the job:

• Curate & Maintain Wine List: Help to develop and manage a well-balanced wine list that complements our Mediterranean menu, highlighting wines from Southern Europe and beyond.
• Guest Guidance: Provide expert recommendations and personalized wine pairings, ensuring each guest has a memorable experience.
• Team Training: Lead wine education sessions for our front-of-house team, increasing their confidence and knowledge in wine service.
• Inventory & Sourcing: Oversee inventory, storage, and supplier relationships, ensuring all wines are of the highest quality and stored impeccably.
• Event Collaboration: Work with the management team to design and host exclusive wine events, tastings, and pairing dinners.

About you:

• Experience: At least 2 years as a Sommelier in an upscale or fine-dining environment.
• Certification: Minimum of WSET level 2 is preferred.
• Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Mediterranean wines, vineyards, varietals, and trends.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with guests and train staff.
• Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for wine and a desire to elevate guest experiences.
